MURTFELDT SLIDING PROFILES SUPPORT THE TRANSPORT OF YOUR PRODUCTS THROUGH OUTSTANDING SLIDING PROPERTIES

You provide the momentum - we support the efficiency! When products in machines and systems are set in motion by a drive, it is crucial for the efficiency of the production process that this kinetic energy is used as efficiently as possible and that the products being conveyed are handled gently. Our sliding profiles, sliding plates and conveyor belts, made from our highly wear-resistant, low-friction materials, are precisely designed to meet these requirements.

  • Usable in various industries

Decades of experience in use, among others, in the conveyor, beverage, packaging, pharmaceutical, mechanical engineering, and automotive industries

  • Small quantities

We manufacture from as little as 1 piece – affordably, quickly, and with short delivery times

  • Custom dimensions according to customer specifications

Production is based on customer drawings or created by our application
engineering team

  • State-of-the-art production facilities

Ultra-modern machines for a wide range of processing possibilities

Clockwork precision operation.

Universally applicable glide rails

Material glide rails such as type CF or type HR2020 with mushroom profile are versatile in use — from conveyor technology to demanding drive processes, your products are reliably and gently guided on track. Our malerials are corrosion-resistant, have minimal moisture absorption, and offer high chemical resistance.

Handrail and clip-on profiles

Our material handrail profiles are available either as profile lengths or rolls and can include a snap-on feature. The clip-on profiles are kept in stock for mounting on round or flat steel. The plastic C-profiles for flat steel are milled or extruded and available in many size variants.

Profiles for hinged belt chains

Hinged belt chain profiles Hinged belt chain profiles are made from our sustainable material Original "S"® newCycle® and are available as flat clamp profile, L-clip profile, U-clip profile, T-push-in profile, Z-, bead- or L-profile as well as sliding profile type U. Our optional premium material Original "S"® green® meets the special requirements of the automotive and food industries.

Guides for modular belts

Conveyor belts are highly modular and can be integrated into even the most complex systems. MURTFELDT manufactures guides for modular belts from highly wear-resistant, low-friction materials. These guides are used as full-surface and antistatic glide plates as well as CF profiles, clip-on profiles or glide rails with tongue and groove design in straight or herringbone arrangement. They have low sliding friction, high wear resistance and, depending on the design, no static charging.

Sliding profiles with FoodProtect technology

Use Original "S" plus+® FoodProtect [FS]® for the safe production and processing of food. Contaminations can lead to product recalls, legal penalties, and damage to your reputation. With increasing demands for safety in food processing, the need for components made of high-performance, detectable polymers is greater than ever. Orignal "S" plus+® FoodProtect [FS]® was developed to support a wide range of food types as well as metal and X-ray detection technologies.

Tailored to your application

Original "S" plus+® LowFriction

This material, based on PE-UHMW TG 1.1, achieves a friction coefficient reduced by half. This value remains consistent and is reached even at low friction intensity. The required drive force is drastically reduced, motors consume less energy, and thus run more efficiently. This enables increased machine running speeds while reducing wear and, consequently, minimizing maintenance requirements.

Original "S" plus+® ESD

Thanks to its extremely low electrical resistance, Original "S"® plus+ ESD, which is based on PE-UHMW TG 1.2, offers optimal conductivity. It enables complete discharge of static electricity from grounded components at maximum speed, allowing spark-free and thus safe operation. This material provides a cost-effective alternative to carbon-filled PTFE and is ideal for use as a full-surface glide plate for modular chain belts.

Original "S" plus+® LowFrictionP ESD

This material impresses with its high sliding performance and wear resistance, thanks to a consistently low coefficient of friction. Its sliding optimization is particularly effective in combination with a sliding partner made of POM or PP and allows for high dynamic load capacity in conveyor systems. The material is formulated without any silicone-based additives. For this reason, it is especially recommended for use in the automotive industry, where substances that interfere with paint wetting are critically scrutinized.

APPLICATION EXAMPLE

AUTOMOTIVE

In most cases, automotive manufacturers use line production. At multiple stations, smaller work steps are carried out, and the vehicle moves continuously on a sliding surface for modular chain belts through the production facility. Our glide plates ensure an efficient workflow and can flexibly meet requirements by using specifically tailored additives. Choose from over 200 materials to select the parameters that define your application and find the material that meets all your needs.
